Report an error or propose a contribution

Specific evidence helps us investigate quickly. Do not include sensitive personal information.

Before submitting a correction, review the corrections policy and, where possible, identify the relevant reference in the primary sources index.

Three details make a report useful

Tell us where the problem appears, quote the statement that needs review and share the strongest available source. A short, specific report is easier to check than a long complaint without a page or reference.

  • Page: include the exact URL.
  • Statement: copy the disputed sentence or data point.
  • Evidence: link the organiser, governing body or other primary source.
